I’ve been a huge fan of Linsner’s character Dawn for many years.
Dawn is the goddess of birth and re-birth and basically a badass goddess who meddles in the affairs of gods and humans.
She also styles her hair over one eye in a peek-a-boo style and perpetually has a 3 tears design below the exposed left eye.
I can’t say that she is extensively inspired by Veronica Lake (despite that iconic hair-do) and I feel Linsner is a far better artist than someone who would just copy iconic poses from photo-shoots directly, making the inspiration obvious.
I did spot this one article where Linsner actually mention’s Lake amoung the influences for Dawn..
