Veronica Lake has another of her bit parts that is helping to establish her name as one of the regular acting extras for Paramount. The plot is a generic bit of drama and you can see why it's a forgotten flick.
On watching for the 2nd time finally spotted miss Lake in a very brief speaking role. She gets a couple of lines and turns away to take off a little hat, her short blonde curls are cute but also make her harder to recognise than you would expect. Supposedly she was more of a character in the original plot and word is that her scenes were cut down.Her name "Jane" is pretty high up in the supporting cast list which sorta indicates there was something to her character.. but whatever that was never made it to the final edit.
As for the film itself it's a rather dry but competent light drama that is far too forgettable.
